The F-14A Tomcat wrote history in April 1975 during the operation frequent wind. As part of VF-1 Wolfpack Squadron, stationed on the USS Enterprise, she secured the evacuation of Saigon. The machine shown here contributed significantly to the success of this largest military rescue operation. With its superior radar system and the characteristic swivel wings, the Tomcat revolutionized maritime air defense and shaped the US Navy's image for over three decades.
