The HIA limestone hopper, introduced in 2005, was designed for hauling limestone, stone, and sand, operated exclusively by Freightliner Heavy Haul Limited. A total of 122 HIA limestone hoppers were produced by Wagony Swidinica in Poland. The HIA limestone hopper are fourteen metres long with a maximum carrying capacity of ninety tonnes and can be found working all over England, typically transporting limestone from Derbyshire (Dowlow) to Yorkshire, Kent, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Lancashire.
